Every day, families in Gaza struggle to survive due to displacement, famine, lack of aid, and constant attacks, disproportionately affecting women and children. In the face of this critical situation, Abrigo Fest<\/a> was born, a musical event that seeks to direct proceeds from ticket sales to as many families as possible, in partnership with Connect Palestine<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaza residents who want to flee have only one exit, managed by Egyptian border companies charging $5,500-$6,500 per person. Abrigo Fest aims to raise funds to support these families in their attempt to escape the conflict and seek a safe haven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Festival for Gaza<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The event will take place next June 21 and 22<\/strong>, in two venues in San Jose. More than 20 artists and musical projects will join this festival to raise funds for families in Gaza amid Israel’s war with Hamas. Organized with Connect Palestine, Global Shapers Community, and photographer Glorianna Ximendaz, the activist behind Iron Kids of the World, the event promises an unforgettable experience. The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund is also joining this solidarity effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The line up of the concerts, to be held on Friday 21 at Casa Rojas, in Barrio Escalante, and Saturday 22 at Mercadito & La Concha, in Barrio La California, includes artists such as Son\u00e1mbulo, Gandhi, La Power, Javier Arce, Canina, Deeikel and Las Robertas<\/strong>. All proceeds from ticket sales, minus only production costs, will go to this cause. Artists such as El Pana, Jeudy Garc\u00eda, Nana Echeverr\u00eda and Adri\u00e1n Poveda<\/strong>, among others, will also participate with acoustic performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva Gonz\u00e1lez (Canina), artist, producer and creator of the event, commented that Abrigo Fest was born from the desire to turn suffering into concrete actions of solidarity. The witnessed violence and impunity for Human Rights violations motivated the creation of communities to share their sorrow and turn it into a space for help through music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
