The Costa Rica International Film Festival is proud to present an outstanding selection of documentaries in its “Focus 1” section. These films will take the audience on a deep and emotional journey through personal<\/a> and cultural stories from different parts of the world.<\/p>\n\n

We follow the road trip of Yankunytjatjara man, Derik Lynch, back to his homeland (Country), Aputula, as memories of his childhood return. A journey from the oppression of white life in the city of Adelaide, back to his remote Anangu community to seek spiritual healing and perform on the sacred ground of the Inma. Inma is a traditional form of storytelling that uses the visual, verbal and physical, and has been a form of Anangu Tjukurpa (myth) cultural transmission for over 60,000 years.<\/p>\n\n
