Emerald City Canyon<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Located in Sucre, approximately 7 kilometers before reaching Ciudad Quesada, the La Vieja River Canyon, known as Emerald City, is a geological wonder of Costa Rica. This canyon has walls that exceed 80 meters in height in some sections, adorned with lush vegetation and multiple waterfalls that create a spectacular landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cerro Chato, also known as Volc\u00e1n Chato, is a dormant volcano located to the southeast of the Arenal Volcano. With an altitude of 1,140 meters above sea level, this volcano has been inactive for approximately 3,500 years. Its main attraction is the emerald green lagoon in its crater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bosque Eterno de los Ni\u00f1os: Pocosol Station<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Pocosol Biological Station is located within the Bosque Eterno de los Ni\u00f1os, a biological reserve near Monteverde. Located at 1,100 meters above sea level, next to a volcanic lagoon, the station offers a 7-kilometer trail through the rainforest, passing through volcanic soils with fumaroles and the impressive Pocosol Waterfall, which falls more than 50 meters into a river canyon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pozo Verde is located near San Jos\u00e9, in the province of Alajuela. It offers moderately challenging trails, including a 6.6 km round trip route and a 6.1 km loop. The Albergue Ecol\u00f3gico Pozo Verde, located in the area, provides accommodation and access to the trails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Aguas Zarcas, San Carlos, you will find the Calle Damas waterfall, accessible via an easy walk along the street of the same name. Admission to the waterfall is free, and the area offers a relaxing natural experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the nearby Puente Vado 3 Amigos (3 Friends Ford Bridge), built with containers by a local pineapple company, adds a particular attraction to the river landscape, creating the appearance of a unique waterfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venado caves<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Venado Caves are located on a private estate in the district of Venado, canton of San Carlos. From La Fortuna, they can be reached by taking route 142, then route 4 and finally route 734. Although the last few kilometers are unpaved, the road is passable for most vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located in San Vicente, Ciudad Quesada, the San Vicente Waterfall is approximately 8 kilometers from the center of Ciudad Quesada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The La Fortuna waterfall is located within a private reserve managed by the La Fortuna Integral Development Association (ADIFORT). To access the waterfall, visitors must pay an entrance fee. At the base of the waterfall there is a natural pool where it is possible to swim, although the water is usually quite cold. Access involves descending a series of stairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
