Pre\u00e1mbulo presents: Stories that transcend borders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

This month, Pre\u00e1mbulo<\/a><\/strong> invites the public to be part of a special edition dedicated to African and diaspora cinema<\/a>, a powerful window to explore diverse, powerful, and deeply human narratives. From Thursday, the 8th, to Saturday, the 10th, the theater will become a meeting place for stories that cross continents, identities, and times. The program includes short and feature films from South Africa, Senegal, France, Benin, Nigeria, and Costa Rica, all with free admission.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Thursday, August 8 \u2013 7:00 p.m.<\/strong>The exhibition begins with two works that intertwine pain, memory, and healing.<\/h5>\n\n

  • Today I Kill God<\/strong> (Kofi Zwana, South Africa, 13 min, +18) is an intense fiction film about a grieving mother confronted with structural violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Next up is Dahomey<\/strong> (Mati Diop, Senegal, France, Benin, Singapore, 68 min, TP), an award-winning documentary that takes a critical and poetic look at the repatriation of treasures looted by European colonialism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

        At 7:00 p.m., the closing features two works that explore time, desire, and social wounds:<\/h5>\n\n
