Their participation will include an extensive repertoire celebrating Costa Rica&#8217;s musical identity and a visual presentation inspired by national symbols.<\/p>\n\n<p>According to directors Jos\u00e9 Manuel Mora Corrales and Julio C\u00e9sar L\u00f3pez Zeled\u00f3n, the delegation will consist of 220 participants, including musicians, dancers, Color Guard members, and support staff. This will be one of the largest and most ambitious tours the group has undertaken in recent years.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A repertoire that combines Costa Rican and Mexican roots<\/h3>\n\n<p>For this tour, the BMA will present a musical program highlighting some of the most representative pieces of Costa Rican folklore and identity. These include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creole mix, which includes Amores de Laco, Ticas Lindas, Caballito Nicoyano, and Tambito.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Swing Pura Vida<\/strong>, featuring <em>P\u00e1jaro Catador<\/em> and <em>Soy Tico<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>P\u00e1jaro Carpintero<\/strong> (Woodpecker), by composer Mar\u00eda Mayela Padilla.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ticomex<\/strong>, a piece that blends Costa Rican and Mexican melodies, perfectly symbolizes the intercultural spirit of the tour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Besides, the schedule of performances will include parades, concerts, and special exhibitions in various Mexican cities, where the band will share its characteristic energetic, disciplined, and deeply Costa Rican style with the public.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A visual identity that celebrates the culture of two nations<\/h5>\n\n<p>As part of the Acosta es de todos tour, the BMA will debut a new uniform that incorporates the purple guard, Costa Rica&#8217;s national flower, and a graphic identity inspired by the country&#8217;s emblematic fauna, such as the sloth, the tapir, the frog, and the cultural connection between Costa Rica and Mexico. With this combination, the group seeks to pay tribute to the host nation while reaffirming its Costa Rican identity.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outstanding track record and institutional support<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The Acosta Municipal Band has established a solid track record both within and outside the country. Among its most notable international appearances is its performance at the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California, in 2019. In addition, it has been one of the most awarded groups at The Light Festival in San Jos\u00e9, taking first place in multiple editions thanks to its artistic and technical excellence.<\/p>\n\n<p>Thanks to the ongoing support of Coopealianza, an organization that has had a cooperation agreement with the band for more than 15 years, the tour to Mexico will be possible.
