In this way, farmers sell fresh fruits and vegetables at a reasonable price. This is a traditional way to shop in Costa Rica.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Green Market is a community&#13;\n<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Green Market is organized by the Association of Organic Lovers (AAMOR) and started at the Sports Center in the Aranjuez neighborhood, just east of downtown San Jose, in 2010. In 2015 the edition of Ciudad Col\u00f3n was inaugurated.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, this is more than a unique destination for fruits and vegetables and maybe a little too expensive to buy weekly. Actually, it\u2019s more like an event. It features live music, food carts and vendors offering everything from fresh cheese to jewelry, natural soaps and custom pots.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p>The goal is to promote health, sustainability and long-term care for our food systems and communities in Costa Rica. The fair aims to be an inclusive meeting point, so that people of all backgrounds can create new connections and develop in a healthy and friendly environment. Each stand has undergone a rigorous selection process. This process includes visits to farms, organic production certificates, prepared food tests, among other requirements.
