TEDx Pura Vida Niñez 2026: A Stage for Young Ideas in San José
TEDx Pura Vida 2026, a series of talks dedicated to spreading innovative ideas in Costa Rica, has already begun preparations for its various sessions this year.
The children’s edition will take place on June 9 at the National Auditorium Theater, located inside the Museo de los Niños.
A platform for young people’s ideas
The call for entries is open to children aged 7 to 13, inviting them to share ideas, reflections, or innovative proposals aimed at improving the planet and fostering a stronger sense of community. The event, sponsored by the Museo de los Niños, seeks to demonstrate that great ideas know no age limits.
Organizers will select a group of participants who will have the opportunity to take the stage and share their ideas during a day dedicated to imagination, knowledge, and inspiration.
A global movement with a Costa Rican stamp
TEDx talks are part of a global format inspired by the TED organization, whose mission is to spread ideas worth sharing. In Costa Rica, the local initiative has become a platform for promoting innovative thinking and interdisciplinary dialogue.
The event has already begun its selection process, with recent activities held at the Costa Rican Journalists’ Association, where potential speakers are being selected.
How can I apply for the selection process?
To participate, candidates must complete a registration form and submit a one-minute video explaining their proposal. The application period will remain open until Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
- Fill out the form: To participate in the selection process, parents or guardians must first complete the following form. They should carefully follow each of the steps provided.
- Submit a video: Next, each child must record a video in landscape format, no longer than one minute, in which they clearly and concisely explain their idea. The video should then be sent to the Museo de los Niños’ WhatsApp number: 7003 7070.
Once the video has been sent, a responsible adult must send the following information in writing to that same WhatsApp number:
- Contact phone number
- Participant’s full name
- Name of the Adult in Charge
- ID number of the person in charge
