Steven Cubillo Montero, was born on May 10, 1993 in the city of Alajuela, Costa Rica. He graduated from the National Technical University of Costa Rica in Administration and Human Resources Management.

He published the book of “La muerte sabe a café” 2017, which was later republished as “La sentencia del miedo” 2018. Subsequently published the novels: “El cofre de Chamselaw” 2019, and “Una bestia llamada guerra” 2020.

He also led the preparation and publication of two anthologies of short stories with Costa Rican authors: “Avenidas de lo insólito” 2019 and “X035, un relato con perfidia” 2020. The latter project received a grant from the Costa Rican Ministry of Culture and Youth.

Since 2018 she is dedicated to give literature workshops under the concept of his workshop “Pluma independiente” on topics such as creative writing, history and philosophy of the novel.
