This week, UCR opened the admission of patients who wish to receive any dental treatment. It will be from Monday, January 22nd to Sunday, January 26th.


The Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Costa Rica opened the admission to assess people interested in receiving any dental treatment. This will be done from Monday, January 22 to Sunday, January 26.

The review will take place at the facilities of the School of Dentistry, in San Pedro Montes de Oca. From 7 a.m. onwards, tokens will be handed out in person, with 50 spaces available daily (10 additional spaces reserved for senior citizens).

Requirements

In order to participate in the review, you will need to submit the following paperwork:

  • Valid identification document (original and copy)
  • Vaccination card with full COVID-19 vaccination schedule (minimum 2 doses)

Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who must carry the aforementioned documents and the documents (identification and ID) of the minor.

Treatments

Among the treatments offered are: tooth extraction, nerve and gum treatments, fillings, crowns, cleanings, tartar reduction and dental bridges.

The check-up is free, but no UCR dental treatment is free, however, its price is very low and, if you are selected for treatment, the amount will be communicated to you according to your specific needs. In case of economic limitations, the School of Dentistry will make a socioeconomic study to provide special prices, with discounts and payment exemptions. Also, senior citizens and people with disabilities will get a 15% discount. In addition, pregnant women can benefit from a 30% discount.

Faculty students will perform the treatments under the supervision of their professors.
