Activities

Looking to relax outside the city? Cariblanco Mountains await you for an excursion just 15 minutes from downtown Santa Ana.

In Cariblanco Mountains there are two types of activities to do: hiking or picnicking.

The main trail goes to the catarata La Angelita and has a distance of 3.75 km. It is of medium to medium-high difficulty, so it has to be taken into account if you are accompanied by older adults or children. Even so, the steepest parts are equipped with a cable to help people go down.

There are other trails that separate from the main one in case you want to be less adventurous.

Important: to walk the trails must be reserved in advance, with a cost of between 2,000 and 4,000 colones. They can be visited without reservation on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Swimming in the waterfall is not allowed.

To enjoy the picnic, you must also make a reservation in order to choose the type of table, count the participants and choose whether to include tableware or not.

Cariblanco Coffee

Montañas de Cariblanco emerged as a coffee farm in the 1970s. Since then, it has been dedicated to fine coffee for export.

This coffee is placed at 83-84. It is a full-bodied coffee with aromas of chocolate, caramel and pecans and notes of citrus fruits.

This coffee is now on sale for visitors to the farm to taste.

The farm has parking available and the road is suitable for all types of vehicles.

The price for the trails is: 4 thousand colones for adults and 2 thousand colones for children and seniors.
